Rory Hughes originally from Pittsburgh, PA grew up singing, dancing and acting at the Pittsburgh Playhouse and professional Prodcutions with Pittsburgh Musical Theatre. He went onto Syracuse University receiving a BFA in Musical Theatre. Productions he performed while in college were ' Anything Goes' 'Carousel' 'Macbeth' and 'Inherit the Wind' to name a few. He also danced yearly in 'Danceworks.'
Once he graduated he went home to Pittsburgh to perform in shows and regionally before moving to New York City In 2001. He is most proud performing at Lincoln Center as well as with the charity event 'Broadway Bares' created by Jerry Mitchell.
In 2010 Rory decided to move across the Atlantic to Ireland to see more of the world and get back to his roots. Since arriving he has danced in a Bollywood film, Choreographed and danced for Drag performers, has performed in the Helix Panto for two years under Theatreworx productions & was a dancer in the hit TV show "Penny Dreadful." He also has performed around Ireland for Rugby games, Awards Ceremonies and Corporate events.
Most recently he created Hues Productions to create top of the line workshops for students in Ireland and worldwide, but also to bring more theatre and dance opportunities to the mainstream using as many Irish performers as possible. Broadway and Beyond is our concert series for singer and our debut dance production was 'Holding On' at the Axis Theatre. The piece was a great success.
